Viral moment brings humor to painful Packers performance in loss to the Falcons

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLUK) -- It's the video seen around the NFL: a Green Bay Packers fan checking her pulse during the broadcast of Thursday night's loss to the Atlanta Falcons .

FOX 11 tracked the woman down to make sure she was okay.

"Oh, I I feel bad for the people who thought I was really going through something right there. I am obviously fine and doing okay. But it's just a funny little thing I do for myself. I own my own business. I work with animals all day long. So, it's just something that I do just to alleviate my own stress as a bit," said Maddie Clark, the woman in the video.

A Packers fan born and raised in Arizona, she brought her dad to the game for his birthday.

"I came for the first time ever last year by myself and had a great time," she said. "I loved Green Bay. I made it sound so much fun to my dad that he asked to come this year."

The pair were excited to take the game in, never thinking they'd be celebrating more than a birthday.

"It was someone sitting behind me, they tapped me on the shoulder. They said, 'Hey, just so you know, everyone in America just saw you on on the game right now.' And I was like, Oh, that's cool. Just assuming that it's just me being a fan in the stands," Clark said. "And she just said, 'You might want to check.' And so she showed me the video that everyone was seeing."

Clark is amused by the response, both good and bad.

"Barstool made a video about me saying that I was planted there by Amazon. I was a hired actress by Amazon to be there because I wasn't I didn't look at the camera or anything," she said. "I wish I got paid off by Amazon. I have bills to pay too. So you know, that'd've been great. But nope, that's just who I am as a human being and no drinks in my system at that point. And that was not the way to experience that game."

All joking aside, she's just happy to bring joy to so many after such a painful performance by the Packers.

"I was just doing it just to kind of relieve my own stress and make my dad laugh and make myself giggle in such a such a hard time for us cheeseheads. And apparently I made the rest of America giggle as well."

This won't be Clark's last visit to Lambeau. She'll be back, just hoping for a different outcome on the field.
